Web City is an italian online community. It's powered by vBulletin. What is the goal? Provide a simple, fast an fridnly forum where people get involved in deep (and non) discussions, chat, have fun and make friends. Right now it's only based on the forum, but we plan to organize it in order to have a complete site where people can interact with a lot of features. Maybe it's a dream, maybe it's something possible.

Hmm, I think a big problem for your forum is a lack of cliche... Many forums never get off the ground because they don't have anything special. All forums also have side-goals of making friends and discussing... But a site must have something special to make it kick off (and also become what the forum is know for).

I mean, I would never join a forum because someone said "it's a great place to meet people". Heck, if I wanted to meet programmers, I'd look in a programming forum. If I want birdkeepers, I'd go off and look to some birdkeeping site. And so on.

Find a cliche, and you'll be great.
Note on code: If I give code, please note that it is simply sample code to demonstrate an effect. It is not meant to be used as-is; that is the programmer's job. I am not responsible to give you support or be held liable for anything that happens when using my code.

Thank you for your review, Steax.
Yup, I understand. That's becouse sometime I've thought on: "Should I leave this *general* forum and start a new *dedicated* project, or should't?".
