Hey guys, I'm working on this site for a friend.

It has a clean feel, which I like, and I'll probably only have two images, one 100x125 picture of the coffee, and a 1x30 gradient for the text. That will ensure a small load time.

The serif font is Georgia, the sans font is Lucida Sans (with Lucida Grande for Mac, Verdana for Linux and PC's without Office).

Something just doesn't look right with the banner... I think it's because the white just doesn't mesh with the rest of the page.

Any tips, comments, etc? I'll be putting it into html/css now.

    Thanks.

There's not much to go by but.....yeah, it's the white. Too much grey for me. Try making the content area white with the grey text and keep the grey around the edges and in between the boxes. Throw some subtle color and you are good to go.

You need a slogan up there with the logo too.

I think it's lacking contrast between background and text. If I were you, I'd just make the center area white with black text. Apply more padding to that area too. You also need to get some rhythm to your line spacing - paragraphs are too far apart.
