Conceptual Design

Started making this concept today for a client.

Right now it's IE ONLY, because I'm using layered flash with WMODE="transparent". I'll be fixing that in the near future.

I want opinions on the design only, and also suggestions for what to do with the navigation.

That's REALLY cool, it maxes out my processor, but it's sweet. Too bad you have to put navigation in

How big is the navigation? Will it be just text links, or a menu system? You could make a cool drop down (or up) menu system that snaps in under the content.

Not sure about the navigation yet, but he wants to keep it simple. I'm gonna have to talk to him further about this.

Thats awesome. I say you add some text links at the bottom right of the white box, and when you rollover have the single underline. That would look really clean and simple.

I really like it Especially the splash page. If I were you I'd change the text in the left bar below the logo. I'd make it blue and a different font or pt to the rest of the site. I think the black just looks a little harsh and distracting.

It is a little processor hungry too.

hmm... well, I'll be the first to say it: your page makes me wanna turn green and run for the edge of the ship I like the idea of the world behind it.. but I think it moving is just a bit much. Other than that, nice. Not too fond of splash page.. but I'm not too fond of any splash page

Yeah. Maybe a static background wouldn't be so bad? It is pretty processor intensive, and it's not like you REALLY notice it when browsing the site. It's a nice bit of eye-candy and a cool idea, but once the novelty wears off it's just slow and makes you dizzy, lol.
