New site we're workin' on for an e-commerce client. She likes minimalism, so I cooked something up following her guidelines, roughly. Still in the works, so feedback would be greatly appreciated!

P.S.: Her logo is pretty mediocre, and she wants it bronze-like. :ermm:

P.S. Part Deux: Excuse the artifacts. Apparently 200KB is the limit.

Love the design! Very easy to read and follow. Nice color scheme.

I think he wants to rate the site on the image. I like the link site better personally, and that was actually what I rated before I noticed the image, but they are both good.

oh ok... well lets see... i do like it! Yet, there is a small problem with the right lavander image interfacing with the lavandar/pinkish bar in the middle. It sort of goes into 1 and doesn't distinguish. In fact, i didn't even notice the bar after about the 3rd time i clicked it.

I mean, don't get me wrong. This site is really nice, i'm just offering whatever critique I can.

Forgive Andre, he's a WDF noob. Transio is the company he works for. Linea Luxe is the site he's asking you to critique.

Well, I mean, how are we supposed to critique a site that's not up? I don't think you can leave the URL field blank.

It's hard to tell from just a screenshot, but I'll give it a go.

the header and footer links should have a little more contrast. I think that the logo should be pulled more into the interface a little to decrease the template-like feel of the layout. Think about the words that you use for the primary navigation items as this can confuse the end users. I'm still not quite sure what you're selling. I like the look and feel, it's very sophisticated. Let me know when you get more done, I'd love to give you more feedback.

The client chose the category names. I tend to agree with you, though, they are quite confusing. I recently changed all the forum names here for the same reason, and they weren't nearly as abstract.

I would try to convince them to change this. I think it would be easier to do so now before it is all built. Usually if a client does this you get the site launched and people start to complain about it, then they want you to change everything for free because you didn't tell them the repercussions. Drives me crazy I tell ya.
