Ok, I finally have my website up and I even did my own theme. Let me know what you guys and girls think. Would definitely like to you know your opinions.

    - Im still working on some things and not completely finished but the design is for now. All the content is in there I just want certain things to happen and until I find a method this is the default.

    Thanks!

I don't dislike the design, but I'd get rid of the words on the home page - grab my attention by telling me what a wonderful graphics artist/website designer etc you are and give me a reason for reading your site - don't waste time (and my attention) on how you've created a website and have tested it and are changing it etc etc. I'm afraid the words on the home page made me think you don't really know what you're doing - not a good first impression.
    A couple of minor points:
1 "a designers inner sanctum" - this should read "a designer's inner sanctum"
2 on the About page, the grey shading doesn't cover all of the text
3 the search and go buttons should be the same size.
    Hope this helps.

the search should be the same size. and the navigation links shouldn't be like that. Safari and Firefox looks good for me on a MAC. Not sure why it is doing that. Its all browser compatibility - does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? Show me how to fix it. thanks!

hey all, ive been away from web design for a while.

But im back and i was wonduring how you do those really cool websites with the background inbeded.

    Ie these 2

    http://lucyblackmore.co.uk/

    http://www.zinaz.nl/

id of thought that those background images would be huge and take a while to load?

    have i missed something?

Is there a website with a nifty tutorial on creating such backgrounds?

    thanks again
