I have almost completed the redesign but it is far along enough that it can be showcased.
Let me know what you think.

I think this site has some potential - but there a couple of issues - in Chrome, IE and Safari, there is a large gap at the top of the screen before your banner/navigation - in FF it works just fine. Because of that large gap - your banner graphic ends up behind your navigation, making it hard to see.

The blog on the left, detracts from your sites design - that might work better on a different page.

On your about us, and design tips pages, you opt for a slightly transparent white background, probably to make your text easier to read, but it clashes with your background graphics and covers your copyright notice which doesn't look right. You could make your 'paper' background extend on those pages to allow you to loose the white background.

I like the general design idea and the sites message is clear - it justs needs a little more work. Hope that helps.

There I have fixed the gap and menu Items as well as styles the blog roll. I am kind of partial to the overlapping div with white transparent background. I think I will keep it. Plus I have gotten tons of compliments on that part from former clients so... To each their own I guess.
