    Hi All,

I'm launching a new site this month for web designers, www.ConceptFeedback.com, and would love to get some feedback.

    1. Would you use it?
    2. What do you think of the design?
    3. Any suggestions on how to make it better?

    Thanks!!
    Andrew

So essentially, you want a review on a website that's like the review section of this site minus the rest of the forums?

The real problems are 1) People comment without actually using these sites 2) Personal preference, and the most shallow kneejerk reactions from non users crowd out thoughtful critique

With a possible three, based on what's in the review template. Which I have no interest in registering to see.

Most of the online reviews are deeply flawed. Unless you can explain, within this thread what you do that counters this, there's no reason to think this format is different.

Finally, there is no incentive. There is no money put forth by the poster, so he has absolutely nothing to lose by ignoring the advice (or worse yet, cherry picking what they want to hear). There is no incentive for in depth review of the kind which could help the person posting.

What's more, we have enough concept designs which are oblivious about target users, usability, desirability, marketability, or pretty much anything other thant the very most superficial of good looks. The site seems doomed to foster lorem ipsum userless PhotoShop wonders.

"...Rarely could you identify an idea or purpose behind the site, or name a possible user goal the site was intended to facilitate. There was no flow, no legibility, no usability. It wasn’t so much that the designers had contempt for their users as that they seemed never to have been taught to think about users at all."
