With IE6 some sites (like various pages here) the "Edit" button on the Standard Toolbar is disabled, then others it isn't. Any reason for that? I don't think its a meta tag that causes it. Could it have something to do with the doctype declaration, or the way the tags are ordered/indented, etc ? I'm stumped. Any ideas ?

I'm not sure if this is specifically related to your problem, but I'm assuming by the "edit" button, you mean the real edit button on the standard tool bar and not the edit option on the menu. The Edit button relates to viewing/editing the HTML source, which can be disabled using various JScripts out there (mind you, there are still ways to get the code even with these annoyances but this may be what's causing your issue.)

I am refering to the Edit button, not the menu option.
