Ok, i was trying to take the design and change it to go in a new and more ergonomic direction, but i feel that i have failed. I love the menu, but the rest of the page doesn’t really seem to flow with it, and so i just wanted to know what others think. The design is based off of the main website’s design direction:

    Thanx!

If I were you I would have painted this page with 1-2 bright colors, for example, red and orange - they will perfectly harmonize with the main black color.

Alex...honestly mate, the site isn't at all visually appealing. I like the top nav part but after that I don't feel attracted to it.

The body text is also too small to read.

People like pictures, not too many words. No one is going to read too much content. Make more graphics and ad's etc. All text isn't going to grab attention.

The thing is, if you're going to have a lot of text then it needs to be in columns. There were studies done , like in the 1800's, on laying out text to be read. Look at any newspaper or magazine.

Alex, that page really doesn't have a lot of text, but it looks unappealing to read when it spans the whole page.

I think it's a really nice start. I love the top nav. needs tweaking though... the content overlaps part of the bottom border of the top nav, and the flash video needs a wmode=transparent param so it will go behind. you also need to spruce up the design a bit with some graphics like the other guys are saying. keep up the good work! should look great when done!

Website is not at all attractive. So work on display or you will get a high bounce rate.

idk. the most successful web sites and companies on the web have even less in the way of graphics. its all in the ease of functionality and product interest. there are certainly prettier web design forums on the net then wdf.net, but they dont get even a fraction of the use wdf.net does.
