Oh lordy I have been doing some branding work this week. Its always fun. Please view my CD Package and Cover Design. It feels like a breath of fresh air do these sort of things now and then.

Will hopefully get a 3D render going to show how it folds up.

    Cheers Bruce

Very nice and professional. The only thing I might reccomend is changing the icons as they're not related to the description.. (i.e. as far as I know there's no dump-trucks used in Database management ) But, still looks good nonetheless... good job!

Well I guess you have to see the whole branding picture to understand the icons. Sorry thats my fault. Once you see that you would understand the relevance of the icons.

    I'll post that later.

I think I know where he's going with the icons:

    1. Event Management = Space man. Space excursions are big events that require a huge management team.
    2. Internet Marketing = Hand holding an apple with an @ on it. Pretty vague, but obviously abstracting the virtual nature of internet marketing
    3. Database Management = Dump truck. Data dump, anyone? Databases are management stores for all of your company's junk. They handle storage and transport, similar to a dump truck
    4. Brand Development - Cow with alphanumeric spots. Well, each brand has its own unique "spots", just like a cow. The alphanumeric spots are probably meant to abstract the meaningfulness of your branding services?
    5. Website Design - Cursor clicking some graphics blob. You really hate web design, don't you? :-P

Nice work, man. I haven't done any print work in several months. It's a lot of fun!

BTW... if you really like print design, you should read "Ogilvy on Advertising".... great book for print people!

Perhaps, I was just refrencing that due to the fact that the average client is about as smart as my dog... But if you've got a whole branding scheme to go with it - go for it, it probably fits in nicely

I'm sorry you have to deal with those sort of clients. We deal with mostly corporate clients. Ones that are able to hold their thought process.

If we were dealing with dogs I would not be designing a CD package and cover, more just burning a blank disc and writing a title on the sheet.

Everybody considers the target audience before a job. Well least I hope so.

Thanks Transio, you pretty much hit the nail on the head with the icon descriptions. They are actually accompanied by small blurbs which do make them more obvious. But you did not need that.....I like to try and invoke some thought when people look at the icons.

Ogilvy on Advertising. I will check this out.

    Cheers
