    Hi,

I'm in a real dilemma with this site. Somedays I like it otherdays I don't.
I didn't do the main coding but the original designer left the project hanging so I was employed to tweak the design and finish up the job.

    Please offer your opinions.
    Thanks.

Start by losing the outer glow on the logo. Either you need to invert the colors on the logo so it's white on brown, or you need to figure out a way to get a white stripe across the top of the site so the logo looks right. Outer glow is an amateur solution to the no-contrast problem. Design a solution, don't hack one. People can tell the difference.

Unfortunately that is not something I can do. That was one of the things that the old designer did and has since been printed on merchandise such as business cards, t-shirts etc. That logo is quite an established feature.
Thank You though for your suggestion.

"We market ourselves poorly on all fronts" is not a reason to persist poor marketing efforts.

Phase it out. Website first, business cards next, t-shirts last.

Personally I feel the logo is pretty good. The only shortcoming there is the lack of capitalization of Brendan Shanahan. I listened to the music briefly and it is very good. Your text on the right seems too brief and looks as if it should scroll but doesn't. That is not good. Either put more text or lose the scroll bar on the right of it.
Your meta data is very lacking all you have is:
    title: Brendan Shanahan HOME
Perhaps use the keywords Irish music or something that the search engines can get their teeth into. You only use 27 characters and up to 66 will show up in a search. You need a description tag with your keywords used again and a keyword tag. Then use the phrase on the page a couple times. I feel the page itself could be more extensive. What you have is pretty bare bones.

I feel the logo is VERY good. I feel the glow makes it look like garbage, though.

    You are a pure genius.
How did you remove the white glow?
Also is this a Photoshop design?
    Sorry for noobish questions!
