    Hello everyone!

I thought I'd make my first post a good one.

I've very recently completely revamped my portfolio and would love any kind of feedback.

There's still a few things I'm not happy with which I am in the process of amending but at the time I had to put it live in order for a potential employer to see some of my work.

So take a look and let me know!

    Cheers,

    Todd

    HI, Todd.

I have to say I found your site difficult to navigate. The links were not easy to find and many of them seemed to go to the same page over and over.

I prefer intuitive navigation, easy to find and understand.

Hi AlphaMare - thank you for your feedback!

Your not the first person to say this...

I'm currently in the process of updating the site with 4 'back to the top' links, would this solve the problem?

It would help, but I'm not sure it would solve it entirely.

I think you have to define your audience - I am a "normal" person who has been online since the early 90's and I'm used to more conventional navigation - menus, even imagemaps and javascripted mouseovers, but alway recognizable as links.

It took me quite a while to realize that the clouds with the + or - signs were links - at first I had thought maybe the coloured dots were the links, since they stand out so much more. I had to figure it out, and frankly, I would not have bothered if I was only browsing, I'd have gotten frustrated and left the site.

Perhaps some plainer instructions than "start here" in small lettering - maybe something like - "place your mouse over the clouds to fly around the site" ...

I think you have some good ideas but if I had to choose one word for the site I think I would have to use "scattered".

I'm looking to add a separate menu to the right hand side so I don't take away the creativity from the cloud menu that I'm achieving. Hopefully the new 'start here' sign will make the navigation more obvious.

Thanks for pointing this out, its hard to see things when you get stuck in your own design!

Can anybody point me to a site with a good tut on how to add 'return to top button' that will appear when a user scrolls down?
