I just got these layouts to a "close to finished" point and I'd like to show it to you for some feedback.
Recently though, I've been looking (staring :cross-eyed: ) at them and they just doesn't seem right. Seems to look better if I turn my head and look at it sideways ... :ermm: ... ah well... Please post some feedback, I'd really appreciate it. :classic:

Some things though you might want to think about.

1. The page is a little to dark
2. Your scroller is hard to see cause it is plain black!

really good. it all aligns very nicely

i tend to get a bit sick of gaming sites though becuase they all look exactly the same. if i was you i would make a gaming site with a different/better color scheme.

Site looks nice. I dont have any suggestions, but I agree with buntine. I'm not a huge gamer, or a fan of black bg/white text color schemes, but it's done well. Nice work.

Pretty much same as others - I like it, but looks just like [insert generic gaming site here].

I am a huge gamer! All the things are the same on all gaming sites though. Reviews, Info, pictures, cheat codes, walk throughs... Try to add something that will get a lot of people to come for.

I think it looks (and works) great. I am not nearly as big a designer as most of the people that frequently post around here, so I think my opinion is more in line with what you would get from the average viewer. I don't think it a bad thing at all that it looks like a lot of other gaming sites ... it's a gaming site, afterall.

Btw, what artwork program did you use to design the graphics and such? Adobe photoshop or somesuch?

I like it, but yeah, it looks like every other gaming site, which isn't always a bad thing. I like the image that's faded int he background. Can almost place the one on the front page, bt with the darker color scheme, it's a little bit harder to see than the background pic on the CS page, with the dark grey/blue (which I really like) theme.

If you're gonna cover HL2's modding scene, I'll definitely check it out!
