    Hello everybody,

    This was my first website I created for this restaurant. I did it for free, since Its just a hobby of mine. I downloaded the template with the psd and css but all the graphics and pictures were supplied by the customer.

    one concern I'm having is that even on a high speed connection, the page renders a bit slowly and the pictures don't pop up all together. How can I get the page to load quicker?

    HI - First I want to say that I try to be honest and have clear reasons why I make the suggestions I do.

    That said, it is an OK website for a first try, but there are an awful lot of sites out there that could be almost indistinguishable from it. It needs something to differentiate it from all the others.

    I'd like to see you get away from using tables for your layout and going to a tableless format, using CSS to position your elements.

    And I would never follow anyone or anything on Facebook, to see the specials or anything else. I think you'll have a lot of folks bouncing due to this. I am assuming this is done this way because then the owner of the restaurant can make the changes themselves - but maybe something like WordPress would enable them to do the same thing in a better way.

    All in all not bad for a first try, but lots of room for improvement.

    Okay I agree about the tables. The formating leaves the right margin almost off the page with a concederable about on the right. Also why have an external link to the gallery or menu, seems like a cop out and should be just part of the site itself, What I do like is the color palette, realy does read "asian"

    I think that as a restaurant, you want people to be able to appreciate the food and the setting you offer. The images you use are very small at the minute whereas I think they should be the star of the show and be much bigger. Your website is also too small. I would scale it up to 970px wide so you can get everything (text/image/nav) much larger.

    Want to try the food

    Agree with the other comments, and the font is a little small and maybe a bit wordy. But the colors choice is good and graphics are appetizing - maybe just a little more emphasis on the food as even the small pictures you show makes me want to come try it! I like it so far.

    color has a lot to do with apitite. that color is wrong for the objective. find an asian style bg for the body. spend a little time and read up on php. with less then 60 lines and some html you can give them a user panel to edit the menu on-site. no need for a DB since the user names and passwords will be limited to just a few and no registration, also the menu will just be a .txt they can edit. show them how to change the user and pw by FTP.

    asian theme - make people hungry. you want red

    while($get_it !== true){ continue; }

    You might want to fix the text. On my screen there is no margin on the right.
