    Hi Everyone,

    I'd really love your feedback (either way) on this project that I've been a part of. We just opened it up to the world in Beta form but I've been living in a design cave for a while so I would love fresh unbiased eyes on it

    I don't want to press my luck and make a second post for a different website but would also love comments on the end result which can be seen in a demo site here: demo.restaurantengines.com. This site autodetects iPhone and Android browsers and creates a webapp to match on the fly... hence the post title

    restaurantengines.com
    and
    demo.restaurantengines.com

    thanks so much!

    Looks like a very simple tool that focuses heavily on integrating as many technologies as possible while neglecting the fact that a restaurant's web presence doesn't reduce to a menu and ordering system. Nevertheless, it's a good start. Work on the aesthetics and you could have a winner.

    Hi - I find the wording of the "No Need to look further" a bit confusing - at first I thought it meant - no need to look further - we have the solutions you want/need. But then I realized you meant there was no need to go further into the site unless yadda, yadda - .

    I'd consider re-wording that a bit - perhaps something like "Restaurant Engines is for you IF: you etc..." That would be in keeping with the style and feel of the rest of the copy that follows.

    smoseley, rajaweb and AlphaMare - thanks very much to each of you for taking the time to look at the site and post your feedback...

    @smoseley - While I personally think there's tremendous value in our product (or I wouldn't be so passionate about the project) - luckily that's not really my job or concern either way... I'm just concerned with the site itself So getting more insights into your comment about working on the aesthetics would be of great interest to me... any comments you could give me on ways you think it could be improved will be happily and gratefully received

    @AlphaMare - You're not the first to say that... and I think you're right!! Will see if I can use your comments to finally push that change through on this end

    thanks again to all three!

    Really liking the idea of the site but with the blue I feel it brings some level of immaturity to the website but thats just me, in general the whole site is easy to access and just delightful to be on.

    i like the site, and dont feel the blue adds a level of immaturity... im a little unsure about the orange border tho, maybe if you matched it so it was the same colour as the 'we know you're busy...' text it might look a little less garish. and i'd scrap it altogether on the green 'learn more' button, looks simply awful imho!

    Hi Guys,

    Thanks again for the comments last month. I reworked the site integrating the suggestions from here as well as others (declutter the front page, rework the logo, change the slider buttons, etc) and was hoping to solicit some more feedback please?

    Afraid if there is some good feedback it will be a month before I can make them though since I submitted the site for the site of the month competition but I'd still love to hear what you guys think!

    thanks again,

    //Sandra

    Nice site, just a couple of things, from my perspective I had to go around to a couple of links to fully understand what you were selling, it did not jump out at me when I hit the homepage.

    I am thinking where you have the 60 second summary would it be possible to have a large image of a Iphone4 displaying the menu of the restaurant on it, than maybe behind an image of an aerial transmitting a signal back to the kitchen?

    The other thing is that when I pressed on the 60 second summary it was just a blank white screen? I did not know it was loading up or anything? maybe here have a picture of an iphone4 being exsposed from the left to the right and the words processing so that the customer knows that there is something going on.

    Apart from that it looks great and should really be one of those things where it should take off, More in the inner city or university or colleges where Iphone4 usage is higher, This might be a great place to first test trial before rolling out.

    Cheers

    Hi Donkey123,

    Great suggestions and thanks very much for the comments! To be honest with you I hadn't really thought about an interstitial screen before the flash loads (or in case it's blocked) since it usually just loads right away. That's an oversight that definitely will be addressed!

    Thanks again!

    Cheers,

    //Sandra
