    Hey all

Just finished my first draft of a website I'm making for uni. It's a small thing (7 pages)

I'm looking for people to look at the site and give me feedback along with things I can do to improve it.

If there are any web designers/code people out there if you could take a quick peek through the code and tell me if you notice anything out of place that'd be brill.

    Thanks peeps

    Mike

The Home page is an empty page with masthead and footer.

With regards to the other pages, the design looks OK, neat enough (it's nice to see you've broken away from the straight box format), but it doesn't grab me I'm afraid. Perhaps some form of slogan/teaser line inthe masthead - something that tells me in a few words what the site is about and why I should keep reading.

Also, maybe don't use "We at Scottish Mentalism" on every page.

With regards to SEO, the <title> tag in the head section should contain your keywords - not the menu options. You should also have a description meta name - this gives the blurb that Google repeats when it shows your website in the serps. For seo purposes, the keywords should be duplicated in a h1 tag in the content section and maybe in some of the h2 tags. Also put some keywords in some alt tags without overdoing it.

Also consider using footer navigation as well.

    But a good first website!!!

Thanks a tonne for this. I've made the changes.

If anyone else can see anything that they think needs changing, please post.

Pretty nice site overall, I noticed in the code you had no keywords, also I would recommend you put all styles in an external stylesheet.

The only change I can suggest is to change the font on the contact page to match the rest of the site. Other than that it is clean and layed out well.
