Looking for some feedback on my new site design.

This is my new site design...deffinetly not my best work, I just threw it together in an hour or so. (The design that is) All the content is not up yet, but you get the look and feel. A few things, I know that the shoutbox needs some work so dont mention that. Also if you are wondering, the following are scripts I used:

News: Fusion News
Shoutbox Fusion SBX

Also, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on making my "brushed metal" look more realistic.

Any comments/questions/help are welcome.

ok, overall its looks pretty good.
whats the go with the text.. YOU CANT READ IT.

youve done a good job with your graphics but once again, please change your font color.

You need to give your shoutbox more room nobodys gonna scroll back and forth to read messages all day.

i would say make the dark grey a bit lighter, other than that, it looks pretty good

Your metal look good, looks to me like brushed alumninum.
You could maybe try adding some pure black lines to the metal to make it even more stand out. then again it might ruin it. your choice.

Nice looking site. I agree with the text being hard to read, and I also didn't like how all of your articles open up in new windows. Also, I'd suggest making the icons that are on the right of each article's description clickable links, I didn't know where to click to get your article at first. People look for underlined text when searching for links, removing the underline goes against usability rules.

Nice looking site though, just a few issues to clear up!

ya...I will keep these in mind.I am deffinetly going to add underlines to the links, i was giving it a lot of thought As for the icons of the articles, should i link them to the actual article? sometimes it is just site updates. eventually I will have my php system all wrote out and when you click that it will display all the news in that section.
