The text in the center of your home page makes no sense

"see" stands for portfolio... i get that
"about" stands for know.. i get that too
"contact" stands for touch,.. i kinda get that. but does that mean we can touch you by clicking contact?.. hmm that would be a better option for a total different type of site ;P
what about the words sign, to , and fable???

in the about section:skill,.. whats with the different highlighted subjects? why are some different higlighted? it looks a bit like a mess to me

also why is the italian box dragable? its a cool function but useless for something that just says "translation soon available"

Thank you all for your reviews!

About the text on the homepage, I can trust if you say it makes no sense. In fact, I speak Italian so I'm not sure it sounds good in english. I wanted a slogan that was related to the title of the portfolio, "fable" and "sign", and in which each word was linked to a section of the site (portfolio, about me, contact). It may be that for an englishman the sentence "See sign to know and touch fable" does not make sense If you tell me I can trust you, so I think it's better to change it.

Then, another change I'd like to do is put the links "flash", "website", "webapp" and so on, that are on the "portfolio" page, also in the homepage. So, in the homepage there will not be just that sentence.

I hope to traslate soon the website, so for now I decided to put an "alert" to advise.
But I understand what you mean, it's right.

How about "See the sign to get in touch with the fable"?

Ok, I hope that the sentence is not too pretentious :P but I'll put this! Thanks.

I updated my portfolio, following the advice received. I changed colors, the azure background was too little contrast to the text. I also made other changes (auto scroll in the portfolio page, white background, links to the portfolio sections on the homepage, to increase navigation speed...)
If someone wants to take a look, http://www.fablesign.com

    Thank you all!

Very abstract, do not forget about Steve Krug
I have gotten into the habit of not judging other designers/developers work, but this is my Microsoft Meandering time so I'm MEANDERING...

Your front page looks hectic. At first I dfidn't undersand that circles are navigation buttons. You have used different fonts and I think that you need to use just one. Your logo needs to be memorable and understandable.
