Personal Site Review

Hey guys and gals!
Could you please take a look at my site and tell me what you think? Its my personal site that I am also using to sell my graphic design services.

It's reasonably nice. Gripes:

1. Splash screens, or at least static ones, are always functionally useless. Get rid of it or make it an impressive Flash intro video.
2. I suggest centering the main content table.
3. Get rid of the colon-period artwork in the window title. It looks pretty amateur. Also make the font overall normal-sized as right now it's too small.
4. In your copyright notice, it isn't 2004 yet and you couldn't have possibly copyrighted it
5. You won't get many good customers if you're basing your e-mail off a Yahoo account. Use one that is simple and matches your domain (usually youractualname@yourdomain).

my only concern is that the type is a bit small. You've got a bus load of white space. I like the navigation too...cool

On top of what's been said, I'm not a fan of the big numbers in the tabs. They seem to be squeezing out the text that is also in there.

As far as the //: goes, it's cool, but everyone and their mother's are doing it now. It looks ok on the site, except in the news section, where you have //:7/23. That looks confusing and messy.

Nice site, overall I like the design.

I only have one comment to make - you have not defined a background color for your page. What happens, when someone (like me) who does NOT use the usual Windows color defaults, is a funky-looking page. My BG is a beige color. What I see is a basically beige page, and your boxes have white 'edges' to them.

I've attached a screeshot of what it looks like to me.

If you really want to control and preserve YOUR design, use the BG color attribute if you're not using a BG image.

This is more and more an overlooked design flaw. Not everyone is going to leave things to default colors. I see this happening all over the web from new and more veteran sites.
