My site is complete and i give my visitor a choice to choose difference interfaces. I have two skins right now, one is light skin with less graphics and javascript (for low speed internet connection) and one is full skin with more graphics and javascript (for hight speed internet connection). Is that a good idea?

Also please tell me your comments about my website. thanks

yer its a pretty good idea. its becoming more popular these days..

although, the average user couldnt give a sh*t what your site looked like. Its only us designers that get frustrated if our layout isnt perfect! lol.

I wouldn't do that... especially for a design sight... always put your best foot forward, so to speak.

i like what people put out first, if they have another layout/color scheme that means that they arent really sure about their dissions on the site.... but then on the other hand people like options and they would like to have sites that are user friendly and customizable....

This really isn't two skins, it's more of two versions of your site. Having such a plain text box being the first thing your visitors see isn't the best idea, IMO. Moreover, I didn't notice a difference between the two skins when I clicked my back button and selected the other option, and I'm guessing that's because my selection is being stored. However, I checked my cookies to clear it, and I didn't see a cookie from your website. SO, I'm going to make another guess and guess that you're storing IP addresses to remember who chose which skin. Not a good idea, as many users still have IP's that change. Plus, you really aren't offering two different skins now, are you? I couldn't see your other skin, because I already chose one.

As for your site's design, there are a few issues I have with your banner. There are a few places where it looks like you have some sort of navigation going, when really it's just a design: you have 8 dots on the left side going across that I moused over, waiting for something to happen, and you also have the numbers 1-7 going across the banner, for no apparent reason. Confused me, but that could just be me.

Finally, the "Welcome Note" you have is positioned poorly. I didn't realize until over 5 minutes of looking at the site (ppl who aren't critiquing the site wont look that long) that you could move the note. It's original position covers up some of your content.

Well i know a site that you can change the color scheme and it has about 10 options if i remember...but i agree that the "skins" you have are more like two different versions, but i mean the site itself is still good!
