    In a word...why?

Why do we need yet another blog devoted to graphic and Flash design?
Why is it hosted on blogspot.com (which somewhat ruins your layout)?
Why is this not part of your company's site?
Why does it not look like your company's site?

@TheGAME1264 <- my friend... I am not sure why people concentrate on secondary things? why people look at others / websites from outside but not from inside? Why can't we focus on how something is beneficial for others? I just put together this blog to provide people with what I know and what I can give to them (Open Source & FREEEEEEEEE) ! Negative criticism doesn't work when you can't "GIVE" !

I even shared my live client projects, I have worked if not hundreds but more than hundred client projects and I put the source files and tutorials there for FREEE for everyone out in that world to learn and that's the essence of giving :P and the essence of this blog.

    Thanks however !!!

None of what he said was negative. He was simply asking why the world needs YET another site that's so similar to the rest? What's special about it? Why would someone choose to visit your site?

Exactly, Wired. That's my basic criticism of the site...it isn't that what you've got is bad per se. It's that it does nothing to distinguish itself from all the other sites online. What is your site's unique selling proposition? I don't see it.

What's new at WebDesignForums.net ? it's one of the many out there and not the best or the most different but it's working. Also I said, I am sharing my real-life professional project sources on the website as open-source, that's something different about my blog, haven't gone through many like this before... If you have shared something like this let me know.

That's true to some extent in concept, but what makes WDF different isn't the concept itself, but the people in the WDF community that help other members, educate, provide insights, some really twisted-assed humor sometimes, and generally help the community grow.

That, and when the original owner first started WDF wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy back in the day, he used to run contests and things as a hook. There was a 0-graphics contest (that smoseley won), there was an ugliest page in the world contest (which I won), and there were several others. This was the original hook.

There's the way sites can be reviewed now. I know other boards provide site reviews, but I personally haven't seen any that come with a screen cap feature or HTML/CSS validator.

And if your site's working for you...really working...then leave it alone. But then if it were working, there'd be no need to ask for a review. I don't see what your "real-life professional project sources" are (come to think of it, I haven't got a clue what that means). I just saw a blog about web design on a blogspot.com site. And if that's what I see, that's what others will see as well. You can try to convince me (and ignore everyone else) or you can find a way to make whatever is original about your site obvious. That's your challenge.

Anyway, take my advice or don't take it. That's really up to you.

I noted in my other thread, where I put my project for review and it's valid XHTML on http://validator.w3.org and it's showing it Invalid here on WDF I think you should inform the admin about this issue, cause most people will think it's an invalid site and take a bad first impression for no reason.

Why am I not surprised that one of the most capable of us won the "ugliest" award. It's like back in the day when I was on two wheels and won "Rat Bike"- you have to know what's good in order to be able to make it look Ba-a-a-d and still function well.
