    Hey Guys,

We'll I've gone into partnership with my best friend and we have completely redesigned the site. Could you tell me what you think of the layout, style, colors etc.

The issues I'm having is... On the Prices page we want to have a price it yourself style, that way we only get the people that are interested in our designs etc.

Does anyone know of any script. or Joomla module that will work for Joomla 1.6 for that page. Or is there another idea you could suggest that we could do for that page?

    Issues i know about:
I know about the slideshow and the news section on the homepage at the top banner, trying to implement a fix now.

The menu bar colors i'm not happy with. Any ideas what colors I could use?

The sub titles (Blue ones) im not happy with. Should i tone the color down or bring the lightness up? Or should i change it to another bright but not over intensive color.

    Any advice would be good.

    Thankies!

P.S: Also when you click the portfolios page click the "Finished Projects" section instead of the other 2 as they have nothing in them at the moment.

I'm not really big on it. The flash never loaded, the green gradient hurts my eyes, and the differently sized boxes at the bottom throw it off.

The overall layout is nice, and I do like the green on the dark background.

Yea theres an issue with the flash at the moment which im trying to fix. did you view the sub pages? the Green banner is only that size on the frontpage. The box's at the bottom are auto expanding. is it worth me putting a min height on them?

I agree with Ronald. That green gradient is just killing this layout. It's too yellowish, too big, too loud, and it makes the text too hard to read. I understand why you want a color here, but that's just not cutting it. A more forest green shade but lighter and a more subtle gradient might work here...alternatively, pale blue.

You're, as in "you are", is what you want here. That's a real pet peeve of mine.

Other than that, it looks okay and reads pretty well. I might consider the use of line-height if I were you, but other than that, I think you're okay.

Thanks Game, most appreciated I've changed the color of the homepage banner now. That kind of green you mean? Do you think i should change the text color on (h1) "Hello! we're {webDevelopers} bit?

Thanks for the contact tickbox bit I completely forgot to phrase it like that, have changed it now.

What do you suggest line height wise? ideally i need it in .em as i use that but px could work too i guess.

Thanks for your suggestions so far.

That's better...but I still think it doesn't quite work. I'm not sure what will, though.

Line-height should probably be something like 1.5em.

Yea i agree with you about the banner bar.. Theres just something about it that doesn't make it look quite correct... Maybe it should go.. black, lightgreen, forest green, white, forest green, lightgreen, black... what you think?

    Cheers for the ems!

We'll now the site is at the almost complete stage. Could people have a look and tell me what they like/don't like. This build has only taken about 10 hours to do so far... not bad ey!

Several elements are looking a lot better. The boxes look much better with a uniform height, though you may want to expand them just a few pixels more so they fall below the text in the center one. I think the green got a little too forest-y, and the shift from the forest green to the lime green is too far. Maybe start with the lime, but tone it down some. Then, shift just a few shades of the same green to make the gradient. The white works much better for the text than the black did.
