I just got the main design down, so tell me if I'm on the right track. Tell me how it looks.
I'm also stuck as to what else to put on the home page. Because what I have now amounts to nothing.
I have content written for all the pages, but still need images (if any) and need to figure out a way to style it all. Suggestions are welcome.
Only the home page is up for now...

    George - good start!

I really like the subtle image in the background, and your colours seem good on both my monitors, although on the brighter one of the two the logo looks a bit pale.

    Now, some points and suggestions:
I'd like to see you co-ordinate your fonts a bit more - seems to be at least three different ones on there. Could you maybe find a font for the nav that would have the same sort of feel as the logo?

And - your message on the home page is all clumped together. Try inserting paragraph breaks between "needs" and "I specialize".

Also - get some text on there that is more "you" than "I". For example: "Your business needs to put its best face forward, and I can do that for you" kind of thing (two "you's" for every "I"). The potential client wants to know how this is going to be good for them, so try to keep your focus on the value to them.

Keep up the good work, kid, and we'll have to stop calling you "kid"!

    Great site!
Only problem I see is that I have to scroll sideways to see the right half of the bottom bar. Also the top bar does not go all the way accross. But then again I've got a 1024x768 screen on this junky laptop so that's not really your fault now is it

Oh noes, I always seem to have problems with resolution optimization... I design on a 1366x768 resolution. All my pages come out really wide

Looks great on my 1366x768 :P
but yes I would recommend making it fit on a 1024x768 too, just for those people that don't have widescreen!

Ok, I made 1024x768 less screwed up, but it still can scroll to the right, even though there's nothing there. Anyone know why that might be? Should I ignore it, or is it a relevant problem?

I might be wrong, but I am betting you are some what of a graphic (visual) designer first. If I am right, look deeper into CSS. The idea of the design is very creative and I like it.
I have gotten into the habit of not judging other designers/developers work, but this is my Microsoft Meandering time so I'm MEANDERING...
