    Hello all.

Sites not 100% complete yet but you'll get the idea on what i'm trying to achieve.

What do you like. Dont like about the site? anything I should change.

I designed this site for my mom...for free.....(DAMNIT!) shes a professional artist and is looking for a decent enough site to show potential clients.

    Enjoy!

If you mess with the core code in Joomla, won't the site break if there is an upgrade? or is it just the CSS you fiddled with?

I love the concept of the design. And, the fact that you can mold and bend Joomla to create that is a very good thing. The only thing that's unsettling for me is the background color scheme. Take into consideration that I design websites quite similarly to the way I often dress; a lot of black, blue, grey, white, very little green, red, brown and so on. It might be nothing, see how other people feel about the color.
I have gotten into the habit of not judging other designers/developers work, but this is my Microsoft Meandering time so I'm MEANDERING...

Oh, almost forgot: spammers are gender-less parasites...

    BTW:
Shouldn't the latest work be the first thing you see when you visit the site for the first time?

Just because I don't think I'll ever get another opportunity to say this in a review thread...dude, your mom's HOT!!! (No, his mom's not really on the site.)

Address and phone number. You need an address and phone number. Yeah, you've got the contact form, but you need an address and phone number (at least a phone number). People should know where your mom is and how they can get a painting.

"Painting's" is misspelled in the footer (no apostrophe).

Other than that, nice looking stuff. I like how the work scrolls in the top right, and how the latest work is on the home page (although I might move it up as DanExcell suggested). Just be sure to spell and grammar check it ("Elizabeth's" in the header image, for example).

I like the colour scheme - it is classy, and unusual enough to stand out without being jarring. I wonder if you might try making the scrollwork backgrounds more in the same colour palette - the top one looks blue on my monitor, and the bottom one grey - perhaps a lighter shade of the navbar colour?

I am in agreement that the Latest Work should be displayed higher on the page - and have spotted one more spelling error - Charcoal, not Charcole.

Also, in the price list, I think it would be beneficial to have all the media she works in listed - right now you just have Graphite Pencil and Coloured pencil. There is no Graphite Pencil category under My Works - really the categories in My Works and Prices should be the same.
