I'm making a site as a sort of portfolio site for jobs/university etc. I want a simple site, but I don't like the "I'm a web designer, hire me now" styles, I just want a simple, clean and easy to use site.
I'm looking for some feedback on the layout, ease of use, and maybe even how it scales/looks in your browser (I've tested in most of them).
I know it's lacking content, and I'm finding it hard to fill my portfolio page since I've only made 3 sites that are now online, including this one. I'm hoping to maybe offer a paid service to make websites, but that's further down the line. The blog doesn't have anything, it's just there for show right now.
I know the navigation at the top doesn't "feel" right becuase the iamge isn't quite right, I need to tweak the code.
Any feedback is appreciated, I'd like to get better at design, I'm currently pretty much doing only coding
Anything is appreciated, thanks for reading/looking!

To the OP, it looks quite good. Put some Lorium Ipsum text within the site, it helps you to get an idea on what the outcome will eventually look like.

Also for the portfolio thing I suggest that create a few mock ups of sites, logos, vectors etc, this will enable the potential to view your work and decide whether they want you working for them.

    Hope this helps
