Hello guys I've just designed a logo for a freelancing website that I'm hoping to start and I want a rating. Tell me what I can fix and do better next time.

    Thanks

Design is a funny word. Some people think design means how it looks.
But of course, if you dig deeper, itís really how it works.

theres too many colors in the logo, currently theres 7, drop it to 3 or 4. the colors are also basic picked colors rather than your own personal hex styles.

I would change the fonts, use www.dafont.com and find a decent free font rather than arial.

What are the cogs meant to represent? you also need to build the pens to be abit more like pens as well.

last but not least. When you have created a logo. you have to test it on multiple backgrounds and also in black and white. this will tell whether the logo is compatible with different styles.

Yeah the colors are straight out of a late 90's site. Other than that, everything that m3 said. Find something related to HTML instead of the cogs. Then it would make more sense

You also might want to think about how it would look in two colors only. If your brushes and cogs were to be one color they would clash. Secondly look at the spacing of your letters they dont quite look the same as far as the Large letters are concerned.

Your right I realized there are to many colors. The big letters are also a bit to large. I will upload a new logo asap. To answer your question the cog represents the coding part and the paint brushes represent the designing process.

Using such a red is probably not a good idea. Red is often connected with anger etc.

Also the brushes dont really look like brushes. try changing the background.

I'm completely redesigning atm. the header background is going to be white and the logo a soft blue.
    I will update soon.
