Hey guys, first year computer science student here and I have been doing a bit of html/css for a while now and I am currently developing a few different designs but I was wondering what you guys thought of this one? I am thinking of packaging and selling it on themeforest.com once I convert it to wordpress but I want to know what you pro's out there think?

I am currently lacking in funds and was wondering if this would be a good way to make a couple quid for nights out etc!

So can you give me your opinions!

I think it would be cooler if the :hover effect in the nav was gray/black. Otherwise - nice site, I think you can sell it.

AHHHHH A fellow brit (I noticed from the "quid" bit. Welcome!!) Yes that site is definitely worth selling... I would agree with G though to change the hover effect on the nav. Also you might want to check the content. Mainly coz you have Battlefield 3 release content in the CodMW3 section.

    Other than that nice site.

You should get rid of the red around your logo. I have i fealing that its only like this on Mac's FF. Idk why but its there. Make the hover effect on the nav either darker green or gray like ^^ suggested.
Other then that I like it.

Yup a fellow brit :L Scottish to be precise! And cheers guys I will change the hover effect! The Red is probably just the dev-background color I used for that div! I am redoing the site so it's more streamlined and porting it to wordpress atm so it shouldn't be an issue anymore!

P.s the content was just a placement thing that I copied and pasted! I am gonna change the breadcrumbs so they correspond to the actual category!

I like to keep the widths of my site around 1000px including padding etc as it's a size that shows nicely on even high-res screens!

Porting it over to WP is a good idea - but beef up the security as you do so. Using the WP security plugins is OK, but remember they are free dowloads, so hackers can get hold of the code to see what they can do to get past it...

At a minimum, during the install, change the default table prefix (wp_) to something else. Make sure after the setup that you go in and change all the permissions to the minimum needed to run the site.

Maybe it is just me but the random background image of the soldier throws me off. Maybe get a full size image and use gradients to blend into the background for bigger resolution monitors?
