    Hello,
    Please check it out. I just completed a Certificate Program for Web Design. Very Basic. I edited a template and went from there. This is what i came up with. Open to constructive criticism.

    It looks so much different in Firefox than IE. The dark blue background is smaller in Firefox?

    Thank you
    Toshia

    I have discovered the browser issue. The coding has a lot of unnecessary CSS and messy HTML.

    Take a look:
    HTML Code:
    <div id="b-nav">
    <img src="images/b_nav_1.jpg" alt="b nav 1" height="51" width="59" /><a href="mailto:aawebsites@hotmail.com"><img style="border: 0px solid ; width: 61px; height: 51px;" src="images/b_nav_2.jpg" alt="home" /></a><a href="http://www.skmonline.com"><img style="border: 0px solid ; width: 68px; height: 51px;" src="images/b_nav_33.jpg" alt="contact" /></a><a href="http://www.skmonline.net"><img style="border: 0px solid ; width: 59px; height: 51px;" src="images/b_nav_44.jpg" alt="search" /></a></div>

    looks like you where pressing enter a lot. I would go over the code and erase those sections of code displayed in the comment above.

    I downloaded a template and copied it into Dreamweaver.

    Design View, I assume? This is the problem with WYSIWYG.

    You shouldn't bother using a template if you have dreamweaver. Just start from scratch in dreamweaver or use one of their basic templates. Youtube has some good instructions on how to use dreamweaver if you haven't learned how to use it yet. If you do do this make sure if you copy sections from your current work that you don't also copy any of that unnecessary code.

    Better way to approach this is to learn HTML and CSS. Coding all of the website yourself is the best way to go. Dreamweaver tends to generate messy code that will slow down your website and my not be compatable with all browsers.

    The best place to start is www.w3schools.com
