    I've been looking through these forums for a couple of weeks now and have finally decided to join in.

    I've just finished my site - Blue Lobster

    If you could take a look and let me know where it needs improvement I'd be very grateful.

    There's a forum on there that I'm beta testing at the moment and several articles about good design practices.

    Thanks

    While it's not graphically impressive, I still give it a 5. It's very easy to navigate, easy on the eyes, looks to use modern technologies like CSS, and is probably fully accessible and XHTML compliant. Good job.

    Your stylesheet has a bit of redundancy, though; for example:
    Code:
    		P
    			{
    			padding-top: 5px;
    			padding-left: 5px;
    			padding-right: 5px;
    			padding-bottom: 5px;
    			margin-top: 0px;
    			margin-bottom: 0px;
    			}
    can be
    Code:
    		P
    			{
    			padding: 5px;
    			margin-top: 0px;
    			margin-bottom: 0px;
    			}

    Thanks for the comments guys.

    I'm pretty sure it's compatible across all browsers as was the number one consideration while I was designing it.

    Thanks for spotting the redundancy in the CSS filburt, it's a legacy from developing the site and I'll clean that up shortly.

    its great!
    you have kept it simple in order to maximise your market.

    i like it alot, good job. Although, mayby you could smooth out the edges a tad on that blue lobster.

    Well done. I only quirk is with the font face. BUt thats just a personal opinion on my part. Just seems too basic for me, then again if thats what your going for, then i'm just babbling again.

    Nice to know I'm on the right tracks.

    As for the font face, there aren't a huge number that are compatible across all the browsers/OS's/etc... so I'll stick with Arial - it may not be the most interesting but at least it'll show up.
