    Hi all,

So I decided to stretch my self a little and attempt to get into the world of JQuery (largely due to a comment from The Game about my last page).

It seems that I am a wee bit over my head. The idea is to create a slider and drop down menu. I have managed to get them off the ground but thats about it.(I know the menu is but ugly I will style it properly when its working well)

The main problems at this time:

    1) The drop down menu hides behind the slider. Am I doing something silly? Or should i just swap their position?

    2) I cant seem to animate the "hide" the main problem is that the menu hides itself too fast. IE you loose it trying to navigate to the second and third levels.

    3) The slider has the ugly gap between images.

Thanks in advance. I have spent about 8 hours of Google action to no avail! haha

PS Please pull me up on stupid beginner mistakes . . . . I have tough skin I can take it

I donít think your menu is hiding too fast. I think the reason it disappears is due to the gaps you have between each item. If you remove the margins in your CSS it might stop the menu disappearing when you go down or across it.
Im pretty new to web design but I am learning fast. I will help if I can.

    Exactly right.

Design is a funny word. Some people think design means how it looks.
But of course, if you dig deeper, itís really how it works.

Your exactly right. moving the mouse in between the gaps equals the same as mouse out. Problem is I kinda like the gaps visually. And more than that im just stubborn and want to know how to do it haha.
