hey people,
well im on the road to askin some dodgy builder/handy-man if i can remake his webpage to start spreading my name around.

here's my version and his version is the attached image..

o and it's still being edited etc, and ma txt on the grey bar is outta place cuz i resized it lol oops :cross-eyed: but still looks gd i think.. only needs a few finishing touches..

where it says "just the people for the job" -he cud have some sort of moto there..

im still making his nav bar and im going for a silver bar (not too shiny) and the links indent as you go over them

the images on the left will b random each time u go on the page and im still thinking of something to put on the top banner behind the txt .. you got any ideas plz

His version is awesome! Just kidding. I like what you've come up with a few things to fix though. I think it might look better if the site was centered vertically...you've got a ton of space on the bottom. Center the text in the gray bar. For the header do some cool effect on the "ACE", and add a collage of some of his work...just a thought. Can't wait to see more.

yer thats just for u guys to see the image lol i am gonna have it centered vertically thats my plan. lol

i may end up having some cool images of his work in the header all faded and blended into the background maybe im not sure.. and yer thnx for the "ACE" idea about making the txt all cool.. i sure will..

every1 loves the builders design lol i may just rewrite his old 1 ha ha....

i have decided to have a css border rnd he whole thing and the links rolver over and they look like they have been pressed in when role over....

Looks good, but the picture in the header lopoks funy because of those scan lines. Maybe put a border around it or something.

gone for yellow as that kinda reminds me of a builders hat and i thought the light brown/dark orangey colour was a bit much but ermm u decide

Lookin good, man... maybe go with bolder colors, though? As I recall, construction signs and worker hats are BRIGHT yellow and orange with black accents.

You're off to a really good start, though... Why not slice up the design and pop it into some html?

Your version - great start, esp the 2nd version - just remember to use rollovers for the nav menu - 4 out of 5 (no rollovers gets you down to 3 out of 5 )
