Cool design, but there is only two images - and they're really small and right at the bottom of the page!!!!!

Respect for using XML+CSS. Site looks good--not graphic artist good though. That cat and dog get on well.

I guess that's where the name copperdog came from.

Where did you get the JavaScript compressor/obscuror from?

Thanks for the feedback. I am not a fan of tons of images/graphics. I use them only when I need them. To me, the content of the site is more important than the eye-candy. I prefer fast loading and visually simple pages. I will be filling in more content as time permits - I have a hell of a back log from the old site.

I appreciate the comments - again I prefer minimal use of graphics.
The cats and dog all get on very well - the dog is basically the mother to all three (they met her as kittens when they were 6 weeks old having never really known their mother).

As for the Java compressor - there is no java on my site really - unless you are refering to the email address munger. I use this tool for that: http://www.hiveware.com/enkoder_form.php

    Cheers!

Very nice design and layout. Personally I think adhereing to the w3 standards as unrealistist and they are not concerned at all with backward compatibility, only future compatibility. Perhaps a touch simple but nothing really wrong with it. 5 stars!

I'm with tibberous on this one. I design for the real world, not for standards. I've learned from many years of programming that trying to develop something "perfect" is an impossible undertaking and 99% of the time results in a sub-standard end-product.

The rule to follow for succes is to design top-down, not bottom-up.

Thanks for the compliments! My adherence was strictly to 'see if I could do it'. It was an interesting excercise and now that it is done, I will likely continue as the site maintenance is so easy now.

For clients and 'real-world' applications I could not agree with you anymore. However, CDO is a canvas for me - somewhere I can play, experiment, and goof up without getting in a ton of trouble.

    Good luck...

I know that others have touched on it but I feel the site really lacks due to minimal images. Cool colours and a slick feel make the site good, but it looks too plain. Funky menu too.

On a whim, how about suggesting some graphics to use. I am curious what you think would work on the site.
