Hi, I recently completed a redesign of a client site. The old site, http://www.sonaturalinstitute.com/Welcome.htm, needed some updating. The owners did not want to spend too much money to redesign the site so I just changed a few things and kept their current content. Please let me know what you think - http://preview.evantagesolutions.com/sonatural.

    Thanks.

    EDIT by SplufDaddy: corrected link.
EDIT by Wired: moved comma for link to work correctly

It's definitely an improvement from the old...here's a few things to look at:

    1. The purple swoosh is a little jagged...you should try to smooth it out a bit.

    2. The navigation: use some rollovers, maybe changing the purple ball to the yellow color you use on "promotion".

    3. ditch the table border.

I agree w/ Grandmaster on all points. Especially the border, I don't like it. You can try using CSS to make a different looking border. This one just doesn't do it for me.

Also, you have links in your footer that aren't underlined. They would be much easier to find if they were underlined. They already open in a different window, so visitors aren't going to lose your site if they click these links.

spluff, fix the 1st link also, it comes up with the ',' at the end.
EDIT by Wired: As you wish ... so it has been done

I like it. Compared to the old 1, its a BIG improvement.

Original site - YIKES!!! (1 out of 5 - and I'm being very generous)

    New site - 4 out of 5

    Vast improvement :classic:

I agree with GrandmasterB regarding the purple swoosh - it's looking kinda jaggie and needs to be fixed up a bit.

Extra marks awarded for consistency between your nav menu rollovers and text rollovers :classic:

Table border - yes, it has to go - use the CSS border attribute instead, with a matching purple colour.

Looks great to me, but the jaggies definitely take away from the professionalism of the site.

    Wow... HUGE improvement.

    4 / 5

Would be a 5 if you fix the swoosh... try using a jpg instead of a gif... it will anti-alias better with so many colors in your palette.

As for the navigation, I think it is fine as it is... don't change a thing.

And the dots.... I don't mind them so much myself. Certianly not the best part of the site, but no need to change them.
