One of my friends has just told me about a site he created for his Dad's company.

    PCC Vehicle Leasing

I was wondering what were your thoughts about it, so that I can pass them on - or add them to my own plans to redesign it for him.

One of the worst sites I've seen in some time. The colors are kinda hard to use to begin with, but the implementation.. ack.

The first thing I'd do (actually the first thing I'd do would take two hours, graph paper, paint shop and half a dozen tables, this is the first thing you should do) is change the background color. Try somthing light gray or light pastel. Now, change the foreground color to black. Okay, replace any font bigger than 12 pt or 100% with smaller fonts; use font-weight, letter spacing or font family to emphisie them. Remove the marquee. Get rid of underlines on anything that isn't a hyperlink. If you want an underline use a bottom border or an <hr>.

    Just some tips.

I think most comments sum it up. I am sure no one is trying to be harsh when giving their thoughts but it is a sub standard site. Yellow is hard on the eyes at the best of times, but on this site we see it used as a background color (ouch!).

Having the text blown up the way it is makes the site feel slow and amatuerish as well. Try some smaller fonts, maybe even different fonts to add spice.

A navigation system for the site wouldn't go astray either.
