Hello. I have a polish goods site at polstore.com. I'm thinking of doing a redesign of my site and would like some feedback. I'm looking for any critique; however if I could get women's feedback on the site it would be especially valuable. Thoughts on interface as it personally seems overwhelming especially with categories. Trying to make the site as user friendly as possible and would greatly appreciate any comments on what could use improvement. Also women's thoughts on look and layout and what they personally would like to see. No I haven't done a survey yet on my site but would love some thoughts on it overall. Thank you.

    Not bad at all!
But I think you should make it so that on the categories on the left side when you hover over one it underlines it; this will help people know which category their mouse is on...

The site looks good but still , It has a pretty old look to it.

Use a new and flashy design if and when you decide to change the look.

If you wish to stay with what you have they try playing with the fonts. Also make the social bookmarking icons more "visible".

    cheers !

Not sure what you mean exactly by old look exactly. Trying to stay clean and elegant and not trying to add flash to look tacky or gaudy if thats what you mean. Amazon has a elegant simple look and it works has do alot of retailers online. Could you be more specific please? If anyone has any suggestions for sites that they like that would be perfect to emulate in layout for inspiration for a cosmetics/polish goods site please provide links. Thanks!

old look in the sense simple looking like how the oscommerce stores used to be.

the new sites are more graphical with heavy banners etc.

    example : design4magento.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/bag-store-magento-template.jpg

Which cms are u using ?

    regards,
