Not really a fan of black backgrounds... But that's just me... And it might be my eyes and my iPhone... But the blue buttons just seem a little large... Is there an effect on them? Perhaps a muted effect would make them less "blaring"... I mean... White and black contrast... But I've never like heavy use of blue and black together... these thing tend to jump out and poke you in the eyes.

Because of your name you probably feel like you need to use a black background, but you might want to play with you background color a bit if you keep those blue buttons

iPhone generally tend to display any site pretty much the same as a safari browser... Unless of course there is specific code to tell it to adjust the site to fit specifically a handheld device... In which case it usually trashes most layouts...

I like it, just needs some content styling updates.. those content boxes? "About", "Latest News", etc. They're very plain. if you took out the nav buttons on the left, it would look like a website from 2000. You don't want that!

I would change your background color to #1a1a1a as its a dark grey and looks better. Unfortunately Coding wise that's all I can help with as the site is coded in tables which is not good for webdesign.

@ Myxum, what would you suggest to replace those boxes to make them look more modern?

@ m3n0 - why are tables not good for web design?

btw, thanks for the feedback everyone, very helpful!

Tables are designed for just holding data like numbers (excel style stuff)
You are unable to manipulate tables with css3 unfortunately. If you had your site constructed with Divs instead you would be able to add things like border-radius: box-shadow and box-shadow: Inset; which you cant do with tables.
Also it is bad for load time for the website. (IE it will take the site to load slower than that with div's)
i Also believe that It can be bad for SEO.

    hope this help

not a bad general design, but I agree with the comment above about making the blue buttons a little smaller?

I'm a go out on a limb and say that you are new at this. Outside of that table issue the design, concept is okay. The buttons do not bother me, I actually like the idea. I do think you can implement them more effectively if you change your approach. Keep at it, you are only going to get better...

I have gotten into the habit of not judging other designers/developers work, but this is my Microsoft Meandering time so I'm MEANDERING...
