Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. Firstly like to introduce my self.. Names Eric, based out of New Jersey, US. Been designing for some time now but took a long break. Trying to get back and rolling. If you could review my general design and not the content as it is not finished yet.

p.s. best viewed on safari as I am working out all the kinks on IE and chrome.. thanks

Hi,

FIrst question: how do you make the UFOs fly? I thought it was flash....

Some thoughts:

1. You need to change the color scheme for text/bg. You've got something like....

body bg-color= #cccccc
div bg-color=white
div color=#cccccc

Need some major contrast.

2. I really like your front page layout. I mean the first thing the client sees is a slideshow (cool tool) of your works and the contact button. Pretty much a launch page.

3. Text needs padding. Paragraphs that span screens don't look great. Try 150px padding LR for p{ }

I love the random floating alien dude, very nice touch. The whole page looks very faded. It's all light gray. Try to make some elements stand out. Also, never tell people what browser to view the site with. Always strive to cross-browser check and optimize.
Otherwise, it's one of the best sites I have seen in a while. Neat, cool and interesting.

Hehe you like the UFO's? It's jquery.. took me a very long time to get down but yah i like the outcome. I'm working on the contrast, i know exactly what you mean.. on a mac screen it looks great but then on my PC at work it doesn't pop to well. So I'll work on that now. As far as the padding you mean on the sub pages? I agree 100% haven't fully been able to get the sub pages done the way I want them, but again ill work on that as well. Thanks for your review helped me out a lot!!

Yah your the second person that commented negatively on the best viewed browser so I'm going to take the down right now and put some type of promotional banner or something up.. thanks for saying it looks good.. greatly appreciated it since I spent a long time and effort on it.. keeps a designer rolling!!

Definitely better looking! Love the bar's color. One thing you gotta keep in mind - contrast. The color of your font basically blends in with the background color. Since your goal is to let people have the easiest browsing experience, you need to make the text have a better contrasting color.

This site explains it better than I do.

I no but if I make it the green color it just looks like well to much green. Any suggestions?
