    You know what would be super cool? If you use jQuery to fade in a color background when you hover over the nav.

    I was thinking the same thing, but with CSS3. Down side is the older browsers (for CSS3). In any event, I really like this design, haven't seen anything like it for quite a while. Nice work.
    I have gotten into the habit of not judging other designers/developers work, but this is my Microsoft Meandering time so I'm MEANDERING...

    I have just recently started testing out lightbox and so far it is great. Gives just a touch of class to a page when images are involved.

    I think you should put actual sites on the portfolio, not example layouts. Also, you could make the left column a little smaller I think.
