I forgot to put in the link to review and there was no way to edit it so please delete my other duplicate post.
Ok, it's not even close to finished but I would like some constructive feedback as I go along so I can make changes while mistakes are still fresh. I am not a web designer and I'm making this site for my video production company.
As of this moment, please check the only working pages which is the index and contact page. (The social links work too but that's just links.)
I know that templates are a no-no so let me say that I only used the background (orange-black) from a template but the rest of the graphics and design are mine. Here are some things that I know already:
1. Some good people made it come to my attention that my code started out as a mess so I fixed it up a bit so now most things are divs and css but I didn't have time yet to get a grip on spans and other crucial things so tell the truth but be understanding.
2. During the coding, it would sometimes pass at W3C and sometimes not but that's ok for now.
3. I read that white text on dark background is not always the right way to go but due to the design, I'd like to hear if it's comfortable to read.
4. My main concern is that it shouldn't look like a site that was built by a 14 year old amateur. For instance, in the footer, next to my email, there is an image of people holding envelopes. I keep thinking if that is not professional and take it off. Those are the things I think about.
I will re-post as I go along so I can keep improving. Thanks guys!
