Hello everybody I would be very grateful for your opinion and critique.

I'm working with a website for children - www.elektromagija.lt. Its design is old and unfriendly for users, navigation is messy and inconvenient so we (our company) want to redesign it.

We understand that a design for children should be colorful, with large buttons and a larger font of text. Maybe you have more insights about this design?

Also we would like to get feedback about the characters. We thought that they are rather unattractive, but users participating in the survey on Facebook says that the characters are cute and they like them... What do YOU think?

    You said it yourself:

"...a design for children should be colorful, with large buttons and a larger font of text."

Also, kids have short attention spans, so there should be much less text. I'd comment more, but I can't read your language.

Those colors are horrible for a kids site.

The characters are okay, but that Superman Wizard looks weird. Characters who are short and have short limbs are much "cuter".

The color is too dark for kids, use lighter colors instead. Even if the characters are creepy, you can still make it look like it's really meant for kids. you can check this website for more design inspirations http://designbeep.com/2012/03/13/sho...o-inspire-you/

I'm going to add on to what this person said. For the background of the site, try changing it to white. The reason why I suggest white is because bright colors goes great with white. It really grabs kids attention.

Also, there is one other thing you can try. But it's risky. You could try changing the header to a comics sans. Granted, most graphic designers will tell you to never use that font. But in my opinion, using a comics sans font for the header of a kids site is appropriate. And if you use a comic sans font, and it looks like a total mess, you can always change. it.

Finally, someone else suggested to use less text since kids have short attention spams. I agree with this as well.

    Would like to suggest following:-

    1) Same colour but of brighter tone! Maybe a little darker than the crystal ball but lighter then the backgound. Someting like this #00eaea.
    2) Bigger text.
    3) title images to be replaced by a font with text-shadow or make the images bigger.
    4) Less text on the ElectroMagija naujienos.
    5) Check the image in link http://alphabeat.in/needtobecentered.jpg

All above are my personal opinions, but the website is really nice.
