Hi guys,
I'm fairly happy with my re-design but I feel that it lacks structure, and feels a bit floaty.
a new look is being developed at index2.html so any feedback would be lovely.
As always, thanks guys...

A few things need to be addressed. First you need a logo, secondly your icons are a little to large and your recent feed stretches down almost a whole another page (Viewed in Firefox). The overall colors of the site look better than the original IMO. You do need to change the Color of the Popular Web Services Headline links from the soft blue to something darker as it really hard to read. Other than that I like the new layout.
Thanks for your feedback, all taken onboard.
I've changed the link colors as they were pulling from current styles (made new style2.css)
used a different twitter feed,
added revolving testimonials,
I'll try to css the logo to be much better,
and look into different options for the large icons..
Thanks

of course i'll do a proper resize of the images, but just trying to improve all areas in general...
I think this is a very decent site for a Joomla designer/developer. The one thing I don't like is how wordy your front page is. One technique I've grown to love is expanding/collapsing info using jquery's slideToggle. It eliminates wordiness and cleans up the page a lot, but also offers the option for viewers to read more if they want.

I like it, it looks nice and professional.
thanks guys, -R I'll look into making the homepage less wordy with some jquery but for the moment I just want the site to be more consistant in its design, cleaner and more profesional.
Anyone getting strangeness with the testimonal rotator? -- after a long period it jus stops, or doesn't hide the other quotes.... anyone?
The link didn't work.Originally Posted by neicawse, post: 245405
sorry, post is quite old now - moved the page to the standard riverford.html page
working on another design now, but some of the layout is taken from a 'inspirational designs' - not sure where the line is where using an inspirational design , and basically stealing a design. But how many times can the wheel be invented,
new design is at http://neilcawse.co.uk/testarea/newsite1/index.html
the design in question is this one
I'm considering not using my own redesign because I want my new look to be my own, but I know that the layout and style is soo similar that people might (and rightly so) just say I'm ripping it off.
I'm gonna make another post and ask peoples opinion.
