Hi! I've setup a basic file server (you know, for giving out photos, files for tech support etc. Nothing formal.) and would like you to review it. I'm a newbie at HTML, so I really don't have much idea. Setup using HTTP File Server, with a heavily modified (all by me) HTML template.
EDIT: For some reason, opening the website from the "View Site" button is resulting in ads. The real website doesn't have www before it (it's a sub-domain of cu.cc). If the website doesn't open that way, try removing www from the URL (can't post URL, looks like forum ruled don't allow it.

Heres the thing, i went against my better judgment and took out the www still thinking this topic.. was... well.

    Have you signup to Bodis?
Bodis.com is a domain parking system that enables you to make money from undeveloped domain names. Bodis monetizes domain names better than any industry domain parking service allowing you to make unprecedented revenue and returns from your undeveloped domain names.

Currently i am thinking that there are 3 things that coiuld be going on:
    a) You are a victim
    b)You

    c) You signup at Bodis and havent yet figured out out to roll back the DNS config that makes your domain work for them.

I don't have a) or c) in mind at all. I'm certainly not using Bodis (for starters, I'm 12; I don't want money from people I don't know). If I wanted victims, I wouldn't go to a forum filled to the brim with experts, right? Oh, you can use nsdcars5server.zapto.org (provided by No-IP, my Dynamic DNS whatever).

The link for the site to be review is nsdccars5.cu.cc , this is the one that even if typed directly on the browser, it will redirect you to the destination Bodis chooses to.

The link you just posted, nsdcars5server.zapto.org , does go to a site.
Never did a Review site topic, so i guess you can edit the topic and exchange the link to the proper one? or ask for the help of a moderator.

    Review for the latter link.
Well, all you have there is a few files, ftp-like that can be downloaded freely buy whoever knows the URL.
I dont mean to say theres wasnt work put into it, but it would be nice to know whats your aim.

I fixed it to use the No-IP URL.

Interesting side project for a 12-year-old to take on. I don't really have much to say about it, though..it works, it's relatively simple, and there isn't much there yet.

Oh, that's why. The real URL is nsdcars5.cu.cc (only one c in nsdcars5), must have been a typo. And no, I've checked, you can't change the URL you sent for posting. As for my aims, it's just for sharing files and looking good (I'll be looking at a proper website after I've had enough experience with this one).

He's right. Only a mod can do that. It was some custom work done by the current owners of the forum after they took it over last year, and I think only mods can change a URL for security reasons (i.e. no one can go in and change a link to make it link to a porn or a gambling or a malicious site or something). Don't hold me to that, though.

Firefox decided that the server at nsdcars5server.zapto.org is taking too long to respond.

Loads very slow. I bounced after 15 seconds.
