So.. I badly need help on reviewing the visual look of my website, I've been working with it for 3 days now, from scratch, so if you guys checked the code, it might be a little messy. It's not done yet, haven't put down any contents for the company yet, but I showed to my sister and she says it doesn't look professional and it looks messy, so I need your opinion if I should still continue this or just start over and think of another design for the site? or should I just add some stuff on it to make it look better?

    P.S. don't focus on content, It's only 60% done.

I tend to agree with your sisters opinion. First off you seem to be using to many different fonts which isn't recommended (keep it simple). I think you should have a main content area color and a separate BG color instead of just solid white. The latest work slider is nice. I don't know if I like the overall layout and scheme, I would recommend looking for inspiration from other sites and applying them to a new scheme design.

It's okay. It shows that you have an artistic edge. A little sloppy here and there (like the fonts, as FireproofGFX mentioned), but overall I like the sketch-pad/school supplies theme you got going. I think you should just clean it up because it looks like you're trying to dump too much stuff into 1 area. I think you should add a lot of space because that would really aid the artistic angle you have going. If you need a lesson on minimalism, you can try read this article I wrote about Apple's minimalist ads.

Here's a bit of advice: never ask your friends or family for critique. They're biased as heck. I remember the first time I unleashed my website over a year ago. My one friend said it was great. Well, maybe he was lying or maybe he wasn't a great judge of website quality, but the truth was that the website sucked. Ask people on this forum or ask certain "brutally honest" people you know.

I like the wordcloud graphics - when used correctly they can be very effective. The problem here is that you are using two right beside each other, and that is distracting.

A suggestion - carry on the"sketch-pad/school supplies theme" and make your "What does it take..." list into an actual scribbled list on a piece of paper, then make the wordcloud background for your pencil-sketch portrait a bit bigger.
