    Making a website for a client but I can't give it that last "touch" to make it look professional. Do you have and suggestions on how I can make this website better?

    I am only saying the following in the attmept to honestly help, not be mean (just in case it isn't clear);

    1. Your design looks lost in a huge page. I think you did the right think giving it some texture in the footer and taking that lower bar all the way across. I think you might want to consider the same at the top.

    2. Your logo and some of your slider images appears blurred, like you used too low of a quality image.

    3. Your design lacks the small elements that make a website. Namely in the headers, which are actually lighter which makes them harder to see, which i do not understand. You could also do well with some small icons such as a phone next to the phone number. Your search button also needs to be replaced to take away that nasty default one.

    4. From a marketing perspective you need a call to action that will catch someone's eye. In a construction company maybe a graphic that says call for a free quote or something like that.

    5. Unless the client requested it, I would dump that blue text in favor of a different color/shade.

    6. You might want to play with rounding a few of your corners, your site appears really cold and boxy.

    hopefully these things help, I think you have a good foundation to work with.

    I implemented a couple of your suggestions, is it better or worse?

    I think it is much better, subtle changes and details make all the difference.
