I'm not going to comment on the layout...others will do that, but in this case it probably doesn't matter. Please understand that what I'm about to say is intended to help you, not to hurt you, because I think you are trying to learn.

Here's your big issue...I picked two articles at random and did a Google search on the contents. They're not unique, and they look like "SEO articles" written for "SEO backlinks". The writers are hoping that everyone who owns an article site will publish the article and the corresponding backlink. This doesn't work, hasn't worked in several years, and Google has openly targeted article/content farms with good reason...they don't add anything useful. What was once a promising theoretical concept several years ago (writing articles to try and generate traffic) has been absolutely trashed beyond redemption by every SEO wannabe and offshore writer with a third-grade Commonwealth English education. So before you worry about the layout, you're going to need to find a way to address the content and make it yours. You're better off with your content and a less than "optimal" layout than the greatest layout ever seen by humankind and nothing original to back it up.

I am using the content instead of Lorem Ipsum, ie. as placeholders. I decided to start with the design of the site before replacing the articles with my own content. Content writing is my next big challenge.
