    Which site-design you like better?

    Hey,

I have a favor to ask you...

I was wondering you can take a look at this site and tell me what you think?

Hartiska | The Name of High Fashion

I'm having an argument right now with another person regarding this site design...

Initially, this site design was going for a dark background approach, but right now has lighter-minimalism style...and not sure which direction to go for this site.

Please give me your input and advice, and anything and how the site can be improved. Appreciate it.

The truth is that I'm not sure it matters all that much. I personally prefer the lighter scheme because it has better contrast, but it looks like you bought a theme and threw some of the most vapid and soulless content imaginable onto it.

Run a spell checker on your site..."advertisting" isn't a word.

I really don't have much to say other than that for once.

You must be very tired of saying the same thing to almost every new "designer" here. Why not make a special script for youself copy and past to things like your famous float law, site designs which are actually slightly modified templates, offshore seo topics, etc. It would make your life a whole lot easier

You aren't kidding, Andrew. It's becoming the ultimate irony of web design...the least creative people on the planet are the designers. I wasn't even going to comment on this one, but the complete lack of anything even remotely resembling substance and the whole Entertainment Tonight feel of the site just irritated me to no end.

Haha well a forum is a forum. Anyone can join and post so nothing can be done about that.

Offtopic: Why does the site change in some weird way everytime i reload it. Are they editing the forum as right now. Just about 5 minutes ago it didnt say how many times you have been liked above your post and the reply buttons where on the right, and now the url box isnt working.

    TheGAME1264,

I appreciate your direct feedback and for catching that error. Thanks for that.

Do you or anybody else have any advice, suggestions, feedback on ways on how the website can be improved (e.g. in terms of design to be more professional)?

Basically, what do you think about having the top-navigation bar (Home, About, Contact, etc) above the header? Should that be removed or stay?

I am not expert. But nowadays many are using dark background with bright writing. Try to make a good color combination. Right now I think the color combination is good and the design also looks great. Just my suggestion. ........

what about a sticky that experienced designers here can have their say about what they dont like and do like and common hates or what not? My two cents is that I prefer the lighter colour as it makes the picture you have stand out more and doesn't seem to 'fall' into the background so much.
