So I'm pretty much done with designing Websites for others. From now on, I'm doing them for myself. Now I love blogging, so I've decided to start up a blog based on what I know, Web design. I've been designing Websites on a personal level since grade six, and on a professional level since 2006. So here's my Website.

If you're trying to make an online magazine for young web designers, you should look at similar type sites and use them as a model:

    tympanus.net
    hongkiat.com
    sitepoint.com
    wpbeginner.com
    smashingmagazine.com
    css-tricks.com

I did a lot of reading when I first decided to freelance back in 2012. The above were sites that I found myself going to often.

With that said, I glanced at your site. Here are my initial thoughts:

    - When choosing domains, I suggest never having a number in it. Your domain should be easy to type and for most people, a number really does throw a wrench in the gears.
    - Your logo font is just too "techie." I know that 10 years ago, anything web-related was associated with squarish fonts... Starcraft, the Matrix, Star Trek... but honestly, the industry has changed and no longer are squarish fonts representative of our industry. A body font like Droid Sans would be okay, but what you have is just too square.
    - "Worst Joke Ever"... has nothing to do with web design. I suggest adding more relevant content and compiling a list of MUST READ articles for beginners before you start spending any time on web comics. Also, I don't understand that web comic at all.

You've chosen a good free theme, created by a guy I know here in Montreal who does very good work.
Are you going to customize the theme in any way? Make a child theme perhaps?
It's hard for me to review a site that's using someone else's design (theme) unless they can tell me how they have customized it to make it their own.

Good design should never say "Look at me!"
It should say "Look at this." ~ David Craib
