The good, the bad and the ugly

Please take a couple minutes and review my site. I just joined and decided to post due to the overwhelming amount of great feedback I have seen for other members. There are some very knowledgeable people here so any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Overall I think this is quite a nice design.

The brown color of the navigation menu looks a bit too light and I would choose a richer brown closer to the colour of coffee beans. I would also keep your navigation menu on one line and not have the "shop" and "blog" buttons above the rest of the navigation items. Perhaps you can place the blog link somewhere else in the header.

In Google Chrome the list of page links on the shop page (i.e., behind "Page:" where there are multiple pages of items) fall outside of the container.

I think "Advance search" at the top should be "Advanced search"

In the search box it says "search teatulia" which I assume needs to say "search onthebean".

On the home page under "ROASTERS", "COFFEE" and "TEA" the slide-up descriptions for "ROASTERS" and "TEA" are incomplete. I'd keep the statements short enough to fully fit into the slide-up boxes.

    Good luck with it.

To me it doesn't feel like a coffee/tea type site. I think of nice warm earth style colors. It feels more like a standard template that you change a couple color to match. I don't feel like the Grey colors go very well at all. The quality of the food photography is good, but then it feels like the website lacks the same quality.

I would try to warm it up with some brows and oranges maybe. Not completely but more than it is.

I'd agree that the color scheme doesn't really scream "coffee" to me. There are a lot of rich, dark browns you can use (over the orange) to better convey this.

Besides a switch up in color scheme, I think this is a pretty decent site.

Thank you so much for the sugestions. I have worked with the color scheme and it never quite felt right. Not being much of a graphic designer color schemes have always been tough for me but I will incorporate these ideas and see where it takes me. Once again thank you.

A good start, I would try and incorporate the following things.

    1. Maybe you could incorporate a very light coloured grey and white interior coffee shop image for the background instead of just white, that way people will know straight away you are selling coffee. Please see attached

    2. The social media icons need to be bigger

    3. Please use a png image for the paypal logo at the bottom, and remove the white, does not look good.

    4. Favicon needs to be bigger

    5. The page numbers are not aligned correctly on this link Coffee - Shop

    6. Your blog text On The Bean Blog is way too small please increase size

    7. All information text needs to be increased in size.

Thank you for the feedback. I am working on some minor design changes. Color, text and some of the other things that are mentioned. I appreciate the suggestions. It is not always easy to view from outside perspective. I will update when changes are done.

Alright guys, what do you think about this color scheme. It seems to fit a little better.
