    Hows My Site? (UGRI)

Im a pretty basic web designer, and I suck at image work so bare with me. Im having a buddy who is better than I at graphic work try to do a graphic for me at the top, so besides that graphic what do you think of the layout? What changes would you make? Please be honest, but dont flame.

simple layout that's effective but you have a header that's crammed. if i were you i'd move them quick links to somewhere else,, or make a form drop down menu for them,..

your page is dark I'm not a fan of dark colours unless it's for a gaming sites.. Although yours seems to be about ghosts so i suppose that's ok but i'd blend it in with some white and grey to lighten it up a bit..

that's all for now but its a gd job considering little graphics.. i'll check back wen u have some

Your page is about 3000 pixels wide. aaaaaaah:dead:

Its too dark for my liking, as its about ghosts I would use some silvery grays or perhaps a little more white than you have used.

I like the nav menu, but its a bit plain - you can use CSS to spruce it up if you like...

Overall, reasonable job - 3/5 from me.

whoa man, your site is way off center.. TONNES of horizontal scrolling!

Overall its a pretty nice site.. But i think you should add some curves and bends to make it more scary.. or something
Ghosts are cool so i will give you a 3.5/5

Looks ok in Moz Firebird. The banner is cool, but the rest of the site could use a little more color. I know the grey is cool because the site's about ghosts, but if the site isn't easy to look at, people will leave regardless of what it's about. I'd make the text contrast more with the bg (which could be hard because you have a neutral gray as the page's bg color). You may consider making the content boxes a different bg color to put the text on.

Also, the paypal donate button looks tacky. That whole box brings the top of the site down a level, I'd try to find another place for that info. Visitor counters are unprofessional too, IMO.

Looks fine to me. Not a fan of the color scheme but the layout is nice and simple. I wish more 'basic' webdesigners would make sites like these, rather than the javascript, iframe, absolute positioned crap they tend towards. Sorry, venting (problems with client, least I'm not venting AT the client)

I can read it, navigate it, what more could I ask for?

Thank you everyone for you input on my site. I got creative last night and redid a image, Im pretty proud if it. It definately looks a lot better than the old one did, had you seen it. I took into mind a lot of your input and put it into action and was very pleased with the results! The website is awesome. Thank you everyone!
