My main thing i look at is how responsive a site is, your site is able to be viewed fine on my cellphone but i have to zoom out every time a page loads.

My only other problem with the site is purely an opinion, but i do not really like your navigation. I personally do not like the bullets. To be honest with what little you have going on i would just have made a single page design, but like i said thats just my opinion and i know there are people that will disagree with that.

Here comes blunt. You're an illustrator. You're a much better illustrator than I am. (So is everyone who isn't legally blind, pretty much). But you're not a web designer.

First of all, it looks like you built this thing with a WYSIWYG editor from the code. Web designers don't do that. Second, at least two of the three "pieces" in your portfolio are obviously fake website templates, and I have strong suspicions about the third. Web design isn't about the pictures you can draw...it's about how the code, the pictures, the text, and everything else comes together.

So...you need content. Real content. Then it can be better evaluated.
If I've helped you out in any way, please pay it forward. My wife and I are walking for Autism Speaks. Please donate, and thanks.

I'll have to agree with TheGame here. I would focus more on your illustration skills rather than "web design"

Hi Amykay, Its a nice simple design which I like, colours work well with each other. As Vapr_arts mentioned it might be a good idea to see if you could combine on the one page and do some fancy jquery work between each section as you move down the page. The style of the contact us box looks a bit out of place with the overall style of the website, maybe incorporate it into wiggle line image or something that better fits the overall style,

    Cheers

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still working on making sites fully responsive. Something I need to study more. As for the single page design I'll think about it. I may change the design in the future...

First of all, it looks like you built this thing with a WYSIWYG editor from the code. Web designers don't do that. Is an WYSIWYG editor a drag and drop type website building program? Because I hand coded my site in notepad then Brackets. I did not use any kind of fancy program to build it.

Also I did not use templates on any of my sites. All of them were coded in notepad and Brackets. Maybe they look like templates because they're mock sites I made for practice? Any suggestions?

I don't know how to prove they're not templates. I still have the svg files and images on my computer.
